The Arrogance of Ignorance

As some of you may have noticed, I have been absent from this site for a few months now, so Antigone was constantly winging in coming up with a new story. She claims that I lost my mojo and cannot write anymore. As usual, she's wrong. I do have what it takes to write another story and I don't even need palm notes like Sarah Palin to remember what to write or say. I don't even have to think hard about what to write these days. All I have to do is think of Sarah and her TEA Party supporters.

Could the Real America Please Stand Up?

I know what you are thinking. You are thinking that the title refers to a new song by EMINEM and for some reason, I decided to comment on it. Granted, he has a new album out but this is not what I am referring to. Perhaps I have been influenced by his new album which I like because it is completely politically incorrect. As usual, I bet, that everybody is going to attack EMINEM for his homophobic and misogynist lyrics. You know what, I actually like his album not because I dislike homosexuals or women. On the contrary, I actually think that homosexuals are great and bright people. As for women, I do like them a lot even if they are a pain in the bum, at times.

Ask a 10 year old kid what he or she wants to be when they grow up, and I bet that the top answers include: doctor, teacher, astronaut. Ask a 17 year old kid, and I bet that these words are hardly mentioned. The reason is simple. All of those professions require science credits. In general, science classes like physics, maths and biology have always been difficult and require dedication and enthusiasm from the students.

Let's Rid the Schools of Bibles

It seems that Catholics are really scared of us, the atheists, and they'll do anything to impose their own views on everyone and anyone. In the old days they used to burn and torture people. These days they'll use any 'dirty' trick and legal loop-holes. So, the Ontario's Halton Catholic District School Board ordered the best-selling book entitled "The Golden Compass" to be removed from the school's library, according to CTV's site. Yet again the Catholics' bigotry becomes obvious.

Ministry of Education & Religious Affairs

Let me start by posing a question. Which country in the world has a combined Ministry for Education and Religious Affairs? Perhaps the countries which come to your mind, include theocracies like Iran, S. Arabia, even the ol' US of A.
