Could the Real America Please Stand Up?

I know what you are thinking. You are thinking that the title refers to a new song by EMINEM and for some reason, I decided to comment on it. Granted, he has a new album out but this is not what I am referring to. Perhaps I have been influenced by his new album which I like because it is completely politically incorrect. As usual, I bet, that everybody is going to attack EMINEM for his homophobic and misogynist lyrics. You know what, I actually like his album not because I dislike homosexuals or women. On the contrary, I actually think that homosexuals are great and bright people. As for women, I do like them a lot even if they are a pain in the bum, at times.

I like the new album because it shows the real America. I like it for the same reason that I like South Park. Neither the new EMINEM album nor South Park are actually insulting in themselves. At the end of the day, do not listen to the CD and do not watch the program. What actually is insulting is the truth both portray about the ol' US of A. It is not a secret that a large part of the population are uneducated, racist, homophobic morons. Americans portray Obama's election as something unique while they should be ashamed for not having done it many-many years ago. I was not born in the US but if I remember correctly, the Civil War has something to do with slavery, right?

The truth is that a significant percentage of the population remains racist. Surely, you all know what happened a few days ago. An 88 year old geriatric went into a Holocaust museum and shot a black guard dead. Of course, it is his right to deny that the Holocaust ever happened. After all, there are still people who believe that the Earth is flat or that God really exists. However he had absolutely no right to go on a killing spree just because he hated Jews or because he was afraid that Obama would take his guns away. Apparently he never heard of democracy.

Unfortunately, this is not the only incident in which innocent people. were shot A week before that event, a crazy mother-foker shot dead an abortion doctor because clearly he did not agree with a woman's right to an abortion. Guess what, there are many people I disagree with, but I will never go on a killing spree. Again, I guess, the killer has never heard of democracy and the right to disagree.

Somebody can claim that these are isolated incidents and we cannot blame the entire US population. Of course we cannot; I never said we should. However the fact remains that a specific part of the population are racists, homophobic and in general, phobic to the different. But what do you expect from the only Western country which allows capital punishment and gun ownership? Here you have a country which executes criminals like China and allows its population to bear arms. Guess what morons. It is highly unlikely that the average educated American will want to have guns. It is most probably the uneducated racist ones which loooove their guns. So here you have a country which allows guns to people who shouldn't go near them.

What I also find interesting about those people is that most of them fit a specific profile. They are right-wing, GOP voters and religious. I really do not like stereotypes but how many liberal, Democrat voters and non-believers have you recently seen going on a shooting spree? I tend to follow the news closely and I have seen none.
