Bigotry In The Highest

One day you wake up a fully-grown adult to find you have no parents.  It isn’t because of a tragic accident or because of fatal illness; it isn’t even because you had a tremendous falling out over them running over your beloved pet “Cuddles” with the car.  It is simply because you exist. They brought you into this world and now they want you out!  They might even tell you it would have been easier if you had never existed.  So what is their problem?  Well, that is my question, what the fak is their problem?  Maybe they are super religious or bow easily to societal pressures of “normality” but whatever their excuse, they are homophobic bigots.  They are hateful and intolerant and it has to stop!  

Recently, it has become apparent that some people are so extreme in their disapproval they actually do not “believe” that homosexuals exist!  Why?  Because “god don’t make no fag”, oh sorry, I think that quote is “god don’t make no trash” but either way you use it, it accurately describes their point and makes them sound mentally handicapped in the process.  So religion wins again as being the number one promoter of hate, hypocrisy, and intolerance in the world.  Somebody give me the address where I can send the trophy, I’m sure they would want to proudly display it on their mantel.

Their rejection is parallel to that joke, you know, the one about the blind guy that is so racist that he divorces his wife when he finds out he is married to a black woman.  Sad but true, in this case, you are after all, the fruit of their “loins”, their genes made you who you are and now they are rejecting you.  Religion gives rise to a lot of different and fun bigotry but I will focus on homophobia, because well, I’m gay.

What will it take to remove the proverbial wool from their eyes?  I guess in this case it is the whole lamb (jesus is the lamb of god, just to catch you up on your religious phrasing).  Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like there is an end to this madness; it is so strong and deeply rooted in society now.  It is even laughable now to say “separation of church and state” when you talk of the US.  How did this happen?  I’ll leave it to the great many writers that have taken on this subject to spell it out for you, pick up a book by Hitchens or Dawkins sometime, just to name a few.  Let’s get back to focus though, we need to target the few, the people we can influence in our own lives.  Tell them to take off the “god hat”, put on the “mom/dad hat” and love your kidfor fak’s sake. 

It should be possible to put aside your personal beliefs and let someone else live their life and be happy.  But then we forgot that they think they are “saving” you by forcing you to living an honest and god-fearing life.  Just become a celibate unfulfilled human, it is so simple, right?!  It isn’t that simple and why would you want to live your life in a miserable and unhappy state on the off-chance there is a homophobic fairy in the sky judging you.  And, in any case, I’m sure their “god” would not be so proud of some a-hole rejecting and ending the relationship with their own child because they follow their heart.  Religion does not leave room for reason though, it actually tries to push for the complete opposite, just have faith, believe, don’t question and then on Sunday you get a cracker and some wine for your trouble.  Also, don’t forget to put $20 in the pot because god is all powerful and all knowing but he needs to be rich as well.  What is life without a little green in your pocket?!  

It is all a scam, it is a hateful and prejudiced control measure to keep the masses at bay and have them believe whatever the guy in charge of them believes.  So get over it and learn how to love!
